Information Gathering:
The most important step of the process is to meet with you and discuss your needs. We will request information about your client or company in advance to enable us to build up a picture of the firm. We will also ask for a copy of your current PR/Media Relations Plan, which will enable us to understand your PR strategy and identify the coverage that is PR generated, so that this is highlighted effectively. We would also request that we are made aware of your Tier 1 media and that we are added to the media release distribution list to enable us to effectively track media response to your releases.
Database design:
We will build a Microsoft Access database to your specific requirements. We will use it to store the data from the media clips and enable the production of bespoke reports. Specific fields are designated for the publication type and article type to further simplify specific searches for clips; for example the production of a report summarising all corporate strategic articles over the past year. A field for key messages is also included to track the extent to which your company’s key messages are picked up within the media. The prominence of the company/product mention is also included, which helps to identify the strength of the mention. The database is used to produce the Quarterly Analysis Report, as well as generating bespoke reports. These can be used to measure media response to a particular media release which could be used to assess and improve media relations.
Queries or requests for specific clips can be submitted by e-mail or telephone and the relevant clips or reports can normally be e-mailed the same day.
